Charity Poker Run To Prescott (# 13723)

A charity poker run from Goodyear to the historic "Palace Restaurant and Saloon" in the cool pines of Prescott. Check-in from 8:00 to 9:00 AM at Chick-Fil-A in Goodyear. Last bike out at 9:00. $20 recommended donation, $30 for rider and passenger. Burger lunch at the Palace and prizes for high and low hands. Proceeds to benefit the Goodyear Fill-A-Need program that provides toys, clothing, and other needed items to children of families in crisis/need each holiday season. We helped nearly 500 children last year. A great ride for a great cause.

Proceeds from this all day event provide comfort and relief items for military members who become sick, injured, or wounded from service in Iraq, Kuwait, and Afghanistan. Personnel who are evacuated to the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center (LRMC) in Germany (the largest American military hospital outside the U.S.) and to field hospitals in Afghanistan and Iraq, typically come into the hospital wearing what they were wounded in. We need to bring awareness to everyone to Start Seeing Bikes In memory of Robert Perez, he was killed by a car that pulled out in front of him on February 14th 2009 at 35 Ave and Bell rd, so let's show our respect to the family. He was a student at MMI, US Marine, and an Iraqi Freedom Vet. There is no charge for this ride, but donations are welcome. The ride starts at Steel Horse Saloon at 10 am, and then to the Road Runner Steak House in New River. There will be a special lunch for $5 a plate, and than to the Hideaway.
