Ride for the Lyric Opera. The Lyric Opera of Kansas City invites you to do opera without the tux. Just put on jeans and join our 2nd annual motorcycle ride. We'll start at the Lyric Theater downtown and enjoy the wind through our hair on an 80+ mile ride. Be a part of this unusual combination of lyrical notes and worn leathers and you'll see that opera isn't always black-tie. DATE: Sunday, October 5th, 2008 TIME: 10:00 am Registration, 11:00 am Last Riders Out, 1:30 pm Lunch - provided by The Majestic Steakhouse / raffle prizes and much more at the Lyric Theater. NO RAIN DATE. VENUE: Lyric Theatre 1029 Central KCMO. WHY: The funds raised from the ride will help underwrite the Lyric Opera's innovative and successful continuing education and outreach programs and the 2008/2009 season. REGISTRATION FEE: Before October 2nd: $75 for returning riders bringing a NEW Driver / $95 – Driver / $30 – Passenger Day of Ride: $105 – Driver / $30 – Passenger.
