Benefit BBQ For MAMA-SAN, Live Band Vendors Beer and Food Included $15 / person $25 / couple Sat Oct 11th 2008 1 to 6 pm at the Marine Corps League 3602 6th Street Upland, PA 19015 All proceeds go towards the recovery of Jennifer – Mama-San's Daughter Barbara Cunningham, also known as Mama-San, is a well-known activist in the military and veteran motorcycling community. She is a Ride Captain in the Pennsylvania Patriot Guard Riders, and is also involved in the PGR’s “Help on the Home front” division which provides assistance to servicemen/women, veterans and their families in times of need. She has participated and led numerous Deployment and Welcome Home events, as well as Funeral and Memorial ceremonies. Barbara is also the driving force behind the annual Marine Corps Birthday Celebration at Cookie’s Tavern at 10th and Oregon in South Philadelphia. This summer, Barbara's daughter Jennifer was critically injured in a horrible automobile accident. Jennifer is a single mother of 3 young children and is facing a long and difficult recovery from her life-threatening injuries.
