Great Teddy Bear Run - 12th Annual (# 12788)

The 12th Annual Great Teddy Bear Run, sponsored by the Sarasota Florida HOG (Harley Owners Group) Chapter, is well underway. This charity event will benefit KIDS by the SEA, a local non-profit, serving children with cancer in our area since 1982. Every year we have a police escorted parade with a new teddy bear or other stuffed animal strapped to our bike and end at the Sarasota Fairgrounds for a big party with lots of food and fun. For only $10.00 if you pre-register ($15 the day of the event) and a stuffed animal for charity, you gain entrance to the parade and event which includes your barbecue dinner, ice tea and water. Soda and beer by the glass will be available for a reasonable donation. There will be lots of seating for dining both inside the Arena and outside in a huge tent. So rain or shine we will still do the event and have a great time! Once at the fairgrounds there will be raffles, live and silent auctions, a 50/50 drawing, a people's choice bike show, bike rodeo and live music all day. This year there will be even more vendors! There are other surprises being lined up! All bikers and bike clubs and the general public are invited. The public is encouraged to watch the parade proceed down Honore Avenue and Fruitville Rd. leaving 11:30 a.m. from the mall parking lot at University Center. There are Great Teddy Bear Run event T-shirts, with the Famous Biker Bear Logo available at registration or pre-order. The ever-popular Harley Davidson Teddy Bear Pins will be available again this year the day of the event at registration. We meet at The Shoppes at University Center mall, corner of University Parkway and I-75 exit #213 in Sarasota, Florida, Sunday morning the 15th of November. Registration starts at 10:00 a.m. and ends at 11:15 a.m. We leave in a police escorted parade at 11:30 a.m. to go to the Sarasota Fairgrounds. Tickets are on sale at Rossiter's Harley Davidson in Sarasota to pre-register. The event is open to all bikers / all bike clubs and the general public.
